The South Central Task Force (SCTF) and Cumberland County Department of Public Safety (DPS) are encouraging those who live and/or work in Cumberland County to register with the SCTF's new mass public notification system South Central Alert.

Purpose

This system will be utilized by emergency managers in the county to alert citizens of urgent situations such as evacuation notices and instructions, shelter in place notifications or boil water advisories.

Brochures & Presentations

Cumberland County DPS can provide brochures for dissemination as well as a brief presentation for municipal entities and community groups. If you are interested in one or both of these options please contact the DPS office at your earliest convenience to set something up.

Registration

Registering is easy and can be done so by visiting the South Central Alert website. Individuals may also register by contacting Cumberland County DPS via email or by phone at 717-218-2913.
