You will have to call Advanced Disposal at 717-243-1692 or 1-800-338-8971 in order to receive a new trash/recycling bin or tags. The township does not sell trash tags.

Recycling Guidelines
The South Middleton Township Fire Prevention and Safety Code Ordinance 2017-03 prohibits open burning other than for cooking food and normal agricultural operations.
If it is a township road, you will call the game commission at 814-643-1831 and if it is a state road you will have to call Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) at 717-243-5414.

You can receive a dog license from the Courthouse, Holly Pharmacy and Knisley’s. Parks and Recreation will also have dog licenses from January through early April.
South Middleton Township does not have a noise ordinance.
According to the On-Lot Septic Ordinance 2000-02, septic tanks need to be pumped every three (3) years.
