ADMINISTRATION

The Administrative staff directs all aspects of the Township’s daily business operations and ensures that all municipal departments operate effectively and efficiently. The Department is under the direction of the Township Manager and coordinates Township personnel, records, and public involvements. In addition to keeping the Township’s various offices organized, the Administrative Department ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.

The Finance Office functions within the Administrative Department and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Township’s revenues and assets while adhering to all laws and ethical auditing practices. The office also manages all accounting, annual audits, investments, budgets, human resources, payroll, financial reports, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

The Office of Township Secretary is responsible for maintaining all legislative acts of the Board of Supervisors, which includes managing and preserving all records and official government actions of the Township. The Township Secretary also coordinates requests for access to public records under the State’s Open Records laws.

Administrative staff also oversees the Township’s public outreach and communications efforts, recycling and waste management contract, and the Township’s information technology. It also coordinates legal services, with the Township Solicitor, and administers the Township’s grant and government relations agenda.

The administration of the Township works closely with the South Middleton community. Its staff represents the Township before various governmental and regulatory bodies, partners with the South Middleton School District and surrounding communities to achieve common goals and mutual interest, and works closely with various nonprofit and charitable organizations in the area to meet the needs of Township residents. The Township office works cooperatively with those outside and within Township government to serve our community with pride.
